Restore or protect your wool pants or your jumpers with our reversible recycled wool/hemp/linen patches. We collect old wool garments no longer fit for wear, felt them and cut them up for reuse as mending patches. We then pair with some off-cuts from our linen/hemp clothing production for extra strength and durability. These two layered reversible patches are the perfect size for kids knee patches or adults jumpers in need of elbow reinforcing.
Match or contrast. Each set will have a different colour reverse. You can use on either face. You might like to embroider the patches first before sewing them on!
You may also choose to pre-patch the knees of your child's garments when new. Pre-patching is always worthwhile as it is quicker and easier to do that before a hole forms. These work brilliantly with the Disana Knitted Ribbed Leggings for example (as pictured).
They are overlocked at the edges to reinforce and make a feature of the patch. You may also turn the overlocked edge under when stitching on to hide it - Applique style. We love using the Herringbone Stretch Stitch or Hand Stretch Stitch for attaching our patches to knitting fabric. If in doubt, google it!
